Often we have spent our holidays in the part of the Pyrenees mountains that is called the Ariège. We used to stay in the medieval city of Mirepoix. The Ariège is the region between Toulouse and Andorra.

The Ariège is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, mountain bikers (in french: V.T.T.) and people who are interested in the Middle Ages. Picture: my son Sem in the little village of Sem (Pyrenees – Ariège between Tarascon sur Ariège and Vicdessos).
